Curriculum Overview

Demo School uses the National Curriculum as a basis to plan units of work with a cross-curricular, thematic approach which is meaningful and engaging for children.

The school curriculum:

• provides opportunities for all pupils to learn and achieve
• promotes spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
• prepare all pupils for opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life

At Demo School, there is an emphasis on experiential learning including the opportunities for outdoor activities, visits, visitors and cross-curricular links, leading to an immersive approach where children take ownership and develop a love of learning. The impact is that children leave our setting ready for their next stage in the wider world of secondary education.
